Are you suffering from a bad odour in your closet? Don't fret because you're not the only one who's experienced this. Moreover, there are quick and easy things you can do to get rid of such a problem.
Organise your closet and keep only the clothes that you need. Clothes which you don't get to wear on a regular basis tend to acquire a funny scent. Go through your clothes and check to see which ones are worth keeping or worth donating. Doing this will create an extra space in your closet and will allow you to wear all your clothes, and get them washed afterwards.
Allow some air into the closet. Does your closet smell stuffy? A good airing can handle this issue. Open your closet and let it stay like that for a couple of hours. Remove shoes and/or shoe boxes which still include silica packets. They can cause unwanted odours that stick to closet walls for a long time.
Deodorize your closet. Use your favourite bath soap or herbs to alter the scent of your closet. A bath soap releases a fresh or sweet scent when it is warmed. Cover a bar of bath soap of your choice with a breathable cloth and place it in the middle or in a corner of your closet. Keep it away from your clothes so as to avoid its moist from rubbing onto your clothes. Hanging a cotton bag packed with your favourite herbs will also do the trick.
